Mayali Pass Trek is a medium to strenuous category trek in Uttarakhand, which is one of the favorites of many trekkers as it unfolds the marvels of Himalayas. Trekking in Uttarakhand is always awe- inspiring due to the panoramic scenic beauty it offers. Mayali Pass trek also doesn’t fall short of offering captivating natural views in bounty.

Passing through Dense Himalayan forests, beautiful meadows, remote village of Gangi, Himalayan peaks and Mayali Pass (altitude 5000 mts.) is an adventurous and enriching experience. The trek also includes three high altitude lakes, Masar Tal, Painya Tal & Vasuki Tal on its trail.
The complete trek to Mayali Pass takes about 11 days, and begins from Ghuttu. The trekking trail moves parallel to River Bhillangna through Reeh, Gangi, Kalyani, Kharsoli, Tambakund and then reaches Khatling Glacier,the source of River Bhilangna. Chowki, which is a meadow in front of Khatling Glacier is an ideal site for camping, offering great view of Himalayan peaks.
From Chowki, there is a steep climb to Masartal, which becomes further steeper and passing through the snowy meadow you will reach Masar Top and eventually Mayali Pass.
How to reach?
Ghuttu the base camp for the trek is 174 kms away from Haridwar. You can take a bus or a shared jeep to Tehri, Ghanshali and then to Ghuttu.
