Bicycle was the first vehicle for most of us- which needed no licence to ride and the freedom to glide. Cycling lovers needs no encouragement in taking their bicycle out for a ride. But Bangalore gives trips within and around the city to have fun on the wheels. Take a Cycling Trip around Bangalore.
The Turahalli Forest, said to be Bengaluru's only surviving forest, is located about 20 km from Bengaluru off Kanakapura road. It’s easily reachable by road and one can ride their bike till the top of the hill. Many wild animals such as jackal, hare, monitor-lizards, and mongooses can be spotted. It is a very calm, clean place for those who wish to go for a short, one day trek. It’s also famous among cyclists, as there are no steep curves or steep heights, making cycling in the area quite easy. Turahalli is also famous among rock climbers, because it has many boulders of various sizes and shapes. It has a nice view and a small temple on top of a rocky hill. Fee includes breakfast & snacks.

The centrepiece of this tour is Aghanashini - a river that originates in the Western Ghats in Uttara Karnataka, flowing across Malnad down to the west coast, emptying out into the Arabian Sea, between Kumta and Gokarna. This ancient river, which is as old as the Western Ghats, is one of very few in the subcontinent that still runs the same course that it has for millennia, perhaps since its birth even. It has no industry around it except fisheries and agriculture and has therefore remained largely untouched. Our trails will trace the course of this unique and incredible river, covering some breathtaking travel destinations that come alive in all their glory in the monsoons.
