3. Harishchandragad Day Trek-Mumbai Pune Adventures
Harishchandragad fort is quite ancient. Remnants of Microlithic man have been discovered here. The various Puranas (ancient scriptures) like Matsyapurana, Agnipurana and Skandapurana include many references about Harishchandragad. Its origin is said to have been in the 6th century, during the rule of Kalachuri dynasty. The citadel was built during this era. The various caves probably have been carved out in the 11th century. A medium endurance 3 hour trek from base village.

Harihar, also known as Harshgad is a beautiful trek located 60 kms away from Kasara. Harihar fort looks like rectangular in shape from base village and built on the triangular prism of rock the edges of this stunning fort is absolutely vertical. The rock-cut staircase leads you the fort.There is a small temple of Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva on the plateau. A small pond is there in front of this temple. There are small caves on top of the fort accommodating 10-15 people easily.

6. Night trek to the jewel of sahyadri Ratangad fort By Small Steps Adventures
Ratangad is hill fort in the Sahyadris, near Bhandardara dam. The fort, initially ruled by the Mughals, was conquered by Shivaji Maharaj who loved it like a jewel!
