1. Manchinbele

Manchinbele is located on the banks of the Manchan bele lake amidst the reserve forests of Savandurga. It’s a small water reservoir and a perfect unspoiled place to camp beside the river is one of the experience which will be hard to slip out from your memory. Considered as an ideal location for corporate team outings, this place will rejuvenate your senses in a beautiful locale away from the routine cubicle. The backwater campsite organizes water sport events like kayaking and other activities like paintball.

2. Savandurga

Two hills – Billigudda and Karigudda, makes Savandurga located near Magadi, known to be one of the biggest monoliths in Asia. The Karadigudda trail makes for a good rock climbing trail. The summit of Savandurga trek is an amazing place for camping. Cave exploring is another attraction for adventure lovers. The Arkavathi river passes nearby through the Thippagondanahalli reservoir and on towards Manchanabele Dam. There are many water sports organized on the dam. Savandurga is in the night trekking is an exhilarating experience and catching sunrise from the peak is breathtaking.

3. Ramanagara

Right on the Bangalore-Mysore road Ramanagara provides some brilliant spots to unleash the adventurer in you. Standing tall at the height of 3900 ft, Ramadevara Betta is 3km for Ramanagara. It’s also known as Sholay Hills as the famous Bollywood Blockbuster ‘Sholay’ was shot here. The summit of the hill has a temple of Lord Rama, and frequented by many devotees. It is declared as a wildlife sanctuary for the conservation of Asian Vultures It is also an idyllic destination for a fun-filled night camping experience. Ramanagara is a perfect destination for team outings in the vicinity of Bangalore.

4. Kunti Betta

In the town of Pandavpura, Kunti Betta hills (previously known as French Rocks) with its beautiful trail, and the picturesque view from the peak is worth the hike up. It’s about 2882 meters high, and is made of two hills. The place is full of mythological importance and has many folklore surrounding it. It is a namesake of Pandavas’ mother Kunti and her five sons and its said that the time of their exile Panadavas took shelter in this town of Pandavpura. The trail up to the peak is quite exciting in itself. Reach the crest of the hill and enjoy the serene beauty by the campfire and soak in the sunshine at the crack of dawn.

5. Nishani Motte

Nishani Motte, the lesser known mountain peak of Talacauvery/ Branhmagiri range located in Coorg, is an unadulterated treat to the eye. This approx. 15 km moderate-trek starts from Bhagamandala forest range and then treading through the paddy fields, to the coffee estate and into the Wildlife Reserve then finally summiting the mountain peak. The pathway towards the end is very steep, almost vertical thus, adding a tinge of adventure to make it up to the crest. At the crest, the magnificent view of mountain ranges of Coorg and Kerala, with the river Cauvery flowing present the perfect the scenery. Experience camping under the stars in the wild.

6. Antharagange

Located in Kolar district of Karnataka, Anathargange is one of the mountains among Sathashrunga mountain range. Anthargange is formed of Volcanic rocks which creates cave like structures amidst the rocks. The name of the place refers to a perennial spring that is found near the Kashi Vishweshwara temple on the mountain range. This place with its rocky boulders, small caves and dense plantations is a haven for trekkers, adventure seekers and campers. Cave exploration at night and overnight camping are best enjoyed here.

7.  Bheemeshwari

Bheemshwari , located in the banks of River Cauvery, is one of the most scenic trekking spots that can also be perfect for trekking, camping, nature walks and adventure activities. The inviting lush green lets the trekker halt for some stunning views while trekking up to the peak. The 5 Kilometer trek along Bheemeshwari hills is quite an easy level trek. Considering the dense forest along the area, one gets to do some great nature camping to spot birds and wildlife. Tourists also get to do fishing and adventure sports like Kayaking, rafting and jungle safari.

8. Thadiyandamol

Thadiandamol is one of the highest peak treks and the second highest peak trek in Karnataka. The peak elevates up too 5735 feet and is about 30 kilometers from Virajpet town in Coorg. The trek offers some of the best and stunning views from the peak.  The popular Nalknad Palace is at the base of the hill. Thadiandamol is an ideal two day trek that the trekker can make a massive escape, to be a part of exploring and being around nature. Trekkers generally pitch in tents and camp out after reaching the peak. The next day they can catch a sunrise and then descend down.

9. Kodachadri

Kodachadri is a mountain peak with dense forests in the Western Ghats in the Shimoga District. Located in the middle of the Mookambika National Park, Kodachadri is home to many endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna and so has been declared a natural heritage site.  Kodachadri hills form a scenic backdrop of the famous Mookambika temple in Kollur. Hidlumane Waterfalls and Agastya Teertha Waterfalls are points of interest. Trekking & Camping trips here is sure to cheer nature & adventure lovers.

10. Coorg
