Purana Qila

Purana Qila or Old Fort was built under Sher Shah Suri but completed by Humayun. History and ruins may not appeal to everyone but boating in the adjoined lake is always preferred in the company of friends, family or a loved one, especially when the weather is pleasant. Chhatarpur Temple

Chhatarpur Temple located in South Delhi is the second largest temple complex in India and is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi or ‘Bapu’ (Father of the Nation). It is located on the banks of Yamuna river on ring road or officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road. It is a black marble platform with his last words "Hey Ram" inscribed. It is left open to the sky with an eternal flame burning perpetually at one end. Surrounding the memorial are the memorials of other famous leaders. Every Friday, a prayer is held at Rajghat. Daily, except Monday, Gandhi's philosophy is projected here in picture, sculpture and photos from between 10 am till 5 pm. There is a Gandhi Memorial Museum at Rajghat where his life and philosophy of Sarvodaya Movement is projected in a film.

Bangla Sahib is one of the most prominent Sikh Gurudwaras in Delhi. It is easily recognizable by its golden dome and a tall flagpole. It is known for its cleanliness and quietness. Laxminarayan Temple aka Birla Mandir, located near the west of Connaught Place, houses statues of Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi.
