Everything in the world wants you to fit in. Your work, your responsibilities, the people you meet, the society you live in, they all want you to find a place amongst then and blend in. But sometimes, it’s not that easy. You find that you cannot fit in, because that is not the place for you. You need to spread out, be yourself, before you can realise where you are supposed to fit, if anywhere at all. Not a lot of places give you that opportunity, but Mumbai’s The Habitat does. Created as a space for self-expression, artistic endeavours, and personal freedom, it champions the right of people to be themselves and express their creativity in an unabashed manner. To that end, it is more of a social and cultural phenomenon, than a restaurant. But, the delicious food and drinks that can be had at The Habitat make it one of Mumbai’s best food joints as well. So, as is clear, there are more than enough reasons as to why The Habitat is a place that simply must be visited.

The Habitat’s starters are so filling, one might mistake them for the main course. The menu starts off with a list of sumptuous rolls such as Chicken Tikka Roll, Mustard Fish Tikka Roll, Paneer Makhani Roll and Butter Chicken Roll. Following these are a list of burgers, savoury crepes and other mouth-watering items like Roasted Sweet Potato Fries, BBQ Chicken Lollipops, Cheddar Cheese Burgers, Peri-Peri Chicken Crepes and Mexican Potato Wedges. Finally, moving on to the main course, we have some even more delectable items up for grabs. Chicken Stroganoff, Chicken Bolognaise, Creamy Spinach Lasagne and Grilled chicken Breast are a few of the favourites from the menu.
The Habitat’s bar has all of the famous imported and domestic alcoholic brands, which means anything you might want to drink, you’ll get. There is also quite an expansive menu for the teetotaller which includes a variety of soft drinks, warm beverages and shakes.

Events are where The Habitat shines the brightest. Unlike many other pubs and restaurants, not all of these events are DJs and musicians. Comedy Nights, Open Mics, Poetry Nights, Film Screenings, and several kinds of workshops take place at The Habitat, thereby solidifying its position in Mumbai as a hub of cultural exchange.
The Habitat is unique as it provides something for everyone. Whether you are interested in music, painting, food, drinks, movies, etc. The Habitat will provide with a place just for you, making the place feel like coming back home, if not better.
