Lippan Kam is a traditional mural craft of Kutch. It is also called as Chittar kaam. Lippan Kaam : Literal Definition in the Gujarati language,* Lipan = mud-washing* Kaam = workLippan Kam is a decorative art done by common people mainly women. It is done inside bhungas/mud huts in villages of Kutch, Gujarat.Generally, women make birds, trees, animals, peacock, human figures etc in lippan Kam.
What will be covered:
*Drawing pattern on the wooden base
*Filling patterns with clay and mirror
*Coloring the final design It is done with a mixture of clay and camel dung. Now gum is used to stick mirrors. The originality of lippan Kam lies in adding no color or only whites.Material to be ProvidedFee: 2500/- (All material incl.)Tea and refreshments will be provided.
