About Kass Plateau: Kaas Plateau also known as the "Kaas Pathar" is situated in the Western Ghats Sahyadri range, 22 km from Satara city in the state of Maharashtra, India. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree. As the leaves of this tree mature, they turn from green to red. When it comes to UNESCO world heritage Sites, Maharashtra's very own valley of flowers at Kaas has its own unique micro climate due to which during the last phase of monsoon, it becomes home for thousands of flower varieties, some of which are endemic only to the plateau. Woven by the master weaver and artisan, mother nature, the endless carpets of flowers and lots of butterflies all around the Kaas Plateau will sweep you off your feet. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree, botanical name Elaeocarpus glandulosus. It is home to about 1500 species of plants including 450 species of wildflowers out of which 33 are endangered.
Best time to visit : Timing is crucial if you wish to see Kaas in all its natural splendour. The best time to visit is September although the flowering starts from mid-August and lasts until September. During the flowering season from mid September to October a riot of colours will treat the eyes. By the second week of October almost 80 percent of flowers are gone, Better visit next year.

Disclaimer The participants who wish to reach the event starting point in their own vehicle have to reach the meeting point at given time, beyond the said time and spot the organiser may go out of network range and wont be able to assist. In such situation the organiser shall not be liable for any inconvenience what-so-ever and the participants will be considered as dropouts against which no refund will be made. The organiser reserves the right to make necessary change in itinerary at any time before or during the event based on situation at hand. Trek leaders decision will be final and binding, no arguments will be entertained. During the event if any participant or group does not follow safety instructions and indulges in acts that lead to physical harm, or gets lost in the forest / mountain the organisers will not be held liable for it. Tickets can be cancelled 7 days prior to the event and 90% amount will be refunded. No refund will be made in case a person misses the train/bus mentioned in the itinerary. All participants are deemed to be physically fit for the event. In case a participant decides to dropout during the event he/she has to bear the extra cost of arranging his/her return. This cost will be charged at-actual-basis. If the event gets cancelled before commencement due to natural calamities, rains, landslide, snowfall, avalanche only 50% refund will be made. Once the event has started and if it get cancelled due to bad natural conditions during the course of event no refund will be made. Stay options mentioned in the itinerary are subject to natural conditions i.e tents cant be pitched if rains and/or rain storm is being predicted. In such cases an attempt will be made to provide shelter for the night. Food during the trekking and camping events is sourced locally from villages and we put in our best efforts to provide the best, participants should acknowledge the fact that remote village people are not trained for catering services and our expectations should be accommodating. Natural phenomenon based events have a risk of occurrence, the phenomenon like waterfall, snow fall, rain , flower booming, cloud pattern formation, sunset/sunrise visibility etc may or may not happen as expected. Trekking and Camping belong to adventure sports industry where the participants are part of a "team" here there are no waiters, caterers, guests, clients. Having the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork is basic requirement for signing up for a trek.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - (FAQ) & Points to Note:
Q: I have booked/paid for the event, is my booking confirmed ?
Ans. No ! , your booking can become invalid if you do not submit the "Most Important Details" required for emergency situations. For any Trek/Adventure event the organizers need to have your details atleast 24 hours prior to the event. We do not allow anyone to campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of emergency, and is a mandatory KYC parameter. The link for the "personal details form" will be sent along the ticket confirmation email. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case.
Q. We are coming by our own vehicle for the event, where should we reach ?
Ans. You need to reach "Kaas Valley" parking lot at scheduled meeting time. This is where we will halt for freshening up, from here you can follow our vehicles. After this point cellphone network coverage is bad and our team wont be contactable. You will be given exact coordinates after you finish booking formalities.
Q. How do we get in touch after reaching meeting point ?
Ans. We will be creating a whatsapp group for coordination where you will be provided all the necessary information regarding contact person, exact point to meet etc..
Q. What is provided in meals ?
Ans. Dinner will consist of veg and nonveg options. rice, chapati, daal, seasonal veg, salad, Chicken curry.
Q. How many people will be at the coming for this trek ?
Ans. Depends on number of people booking the event. Generally the batch size is approximately 25 participants.
Q. Is it safe for solo participants?
Ans. Yes, mostly 30% of participants come up solo and blend in.
Q. Is it safe for girls?
