 Monsoon Trek Peb Fort trek on 27 Jul 2019

Peb Fort / Vikatgad Fort is a fort located 19km from Karjat, in Raigad district, of Maharashtra. This fort is in continuation with the Malang gad, Tauli Hill and Chanderi fort of the Matheran Hill Range. Vikatgad is a favorite destination for the one day trekkers. The trek path to Vikatgad is long deep ravines and cliffs. A large number of trekkers come on weekends.

Very less history about this fort is available. This fort got the name from Pebi Devi goddess. This fort has storerooms for storing food grains and ammunition. This fort was visited by Captain Dickinson in 1818

(If you miss the train you miss the trek so make sure you are on time to catch the train.) catch the same local train and meet at Neral station 07.50.

Kindly buy karjat local Train return tickets on your own.

 

Itinerary:

7:50 am Meeting at Neral station

Tea & Breakfast at Neral Introduction Round

9:30 am trek will start

12:00 pm Reach Peb Devi Temple

01:30 pm Have Lunch & Start Descending

4:30 pm Reach Neral Station

Catch the train from Neral.

Reach Dadar by 6.30 pm

 

Things to carry

• Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc

• 2 Liters of water must

• Good trekking shoes

• Extra pair of clothes, socks optional

• Cap, Camera as Optional

• 1 packet of electrol, general, glucon-D

• Medications if required for individual

• Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible

• And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.
