About Event:

Kalsubai with the height of 1646m [5400Feets] is famous as one of the highest peaks in Maharashtra. Kalsubai lies in the Sahyadri mountain range. This being the highest peak, it commands a beautiful view. Since Kalsubai is extremely famous, enough effort has been made to make this trek easy. There are steel railings, chains, and ladders at places where it is difficult to climb. There is a symbolic temple at the top. It is said, that in the ancient times, a lady named Kalsu came to nearby Indorey village to work. However, somebody forced her to clean utensils and clean up the residence by force. So she left the place and eventually died at this spot. So comes the name, Kalasubai.

A small temple is built here, in her memory. From the top of Mount Kalsubai, one can get a great view of the Bhandardara Lake and Wison dam, immediately after the rainy season, the place is awesome

Dear 99Hikers team,

Thank you for the beautiful and mesmerizing experience of seeing fireflies in their natural environment. We will always cherish the experience.

We would like to give a few points of improvement as to the services and amenities provided:

1. We were a little disappointed as a group of 108 was way to big and only with 02 team leaders to handle such a group. in such a short trip, it was not possible to even get to interact with others in the group.

2. Such a large group required more than two team leaders as it was clear to us that it was difficult for 99hikers team to handle 108 people at a go with ease.

3. There was no meet and greet session to acquaint everyone with the agenda before starting our journey, therefore, everyone was clueless as to how we were to proceed. There was time in the bus to announce the agenda but it was not utilized to do the same.

4. Tents were not assigned to campers beforehand so it led to a lot of confusion and took up a lot of time to assign tents after reaching the campsite. We loved the tent facilities provided of course, they were well-built, comfortable and in a good location with the river view. However, the washroom facilities could be improved upon.

All in all, a good experience, but a lot of room to improve upon, especially with regards to connecting with your patrons.

Thank you once again for a wonderful camping experience.

Hope to be able to join other fun activities by 99Hikers.

All the very best to your team!
