About AMK :AMK is undoubtedly one of the most demanding and considered to be one of the toughest treks in Maharashtra. If you havent done it you havent finished trekking in Maharashtra. This trek is the test of your mental & physical stamina, confidence & endurance. This massive range of trio forts provides you some of the great scenes in Maharashtra. All three forts stand high with the towering height more than 4800 ft provides scenery that you will never forget. 

Difficulty: Difficult | Endurance: High

  • Alang, Madan & Kulang, situated in Kalsubai range, are one of the most difficult fort treks in Sahyadri.
  • Alang (4852 ft): Alang Fort located in Nashik region. Top of the fort is huge plateau. There are two caves on the fort for staying and 11 water  Tanks.
  • Madan (4841 ft): Madangad is considered to be one of the most difficult forts to climb. The area of the fort is quite small as compared to Alang and Kulang. There is one large cave on this fort and 2 water Tanks.
  • Kulang (4825 Ft): Stairs To kulang Fort have been destroyed by british. There are 2-3 water tanks near these caves, out of which one has potable water. You will see the remnants of two demolished palaces behind these tanks.

If you are coming by local train then Public Transport like S.T Bus and Sharing Car(Balero) are available from Kasara Railway Station to reach Ghatghar         Campsite.

Day 01: Arrival at  Ghatghar  & Trekking to AMK

Arrive at Ghatghar in the morning at 9.30 am by own vehicle/other means. You can reach Igatpuri or Kasara and then take local transport (state transport bus or shared jeep) to reach Ghatghar .Having own vehicle is highly advisable. Enjoy morning tea and  snacks and start your trek towards AMK base,which takes around 45 mins. Reach AMK base point and start your track,Reach atop  Alang in  approx  2 hours,lunch will be cooked by our team, have lunch and take rest for while, Sight seeing at nearby spots .Evening Tea and Snacks will be prepared and served by our team. Tents will be mounted for night stay at Alang peak  Relish the delicious BBQ along with Scrumptious homemade dinner(Veg/Non Veg) will be  served thereafter. Night stay at  tents.

 

Day 2: Trekking to Kulang ,Madan and  r eturn journey to Ghatghar base point.

Wake up early in the morning,get fresh have tea and breakfast prepared by our team. Start trekking to Kulang or Madan, it will take around 2 hours to reach,Enjoy the view and  take rest for a while till the lunch is ready, have lunch take rest for a while then descend downwards towards Ghatghar Campsite.Rest for a while and leave for  Mumbai /Pune.

    • 01:00 pm Lunch and Descend from Kulang or Madan
    • 03:30 pm Reach Ghatghar Campsite  & Journey towards Mumbai/Pune with Lifelong Memories.

    • Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
    •  And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.
      All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks, bad weather.

Cancellation Policy:

      • 100% amount to be paid in advance to book the trip.
      • If the booking is cancelled 10 days or before the event date then 50% of the booking amount will be refunded.
      • If the booking is canceled 5 days before the event date then no refunds will be given.

 

MEDICAL DISCLAIMER:


It is most essential to be fit and fine before heading for trekking.
While planning your trekking trip, it is preferable to have a medical fitness check up done.
If suffering from any kind of allergy or ailment, do carry proper prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heat stroke, sever headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia.
Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma, bronchitis, blood pressure,
migraine, diabetes etc should seek their physicians advice before coming.
