Kothaligad (also called Kotligad or Kothligad or Peth) is a small Fort (3100 ft) is situated to the east of Karjat near Karjat-Murbad Road. Peth is a great place to trek near Mumbai. There are a small temple and large cave at the base and a chimney like a tunnel to the top of the fort. This pinnacle is carved from inside forming a staircase reaching the top. A highly recommended place for adventure seekers & travellers.

Day 0

  • 21:26 hrs Board the Karjat Local starting from CSMT at 9.26 pm from your respective stations
  • 23:20 hrs Meet the team at Karjat station ticket counter, we will leave for the base village in our private vehicle

Day 1

  • 00:30 hrs Reach the base village Ambivali, freshen up and start preparing for the trek ahead
  • 01:00 hrs Start the trek towards Pethwadi, we will take a few halts enroute
  • 04:00 hrs Reach the top, we rest for while and play games while waiting for the sunrise
  • 07:00 hrs Explore the small but beautiful fort and surrounding area and then start our descend
  • 09:30 hrs Reach Ambivali and have a scrumptious breakfast.
  • 10:30 hrs Leave for Karjat station in our private transfer vehicles
  • 11:00 hrs Reach the station and bid goodbyes to your trek buddies with a promise to meet again.

  • It is trekking activity and not a leisure trip so one needs to prepare themselves accordingly

  • Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery
  • A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances.

  1. How will you contact me once I register?

    • We will be emailing you the details about the trek a day or two before the trek. We will also create a WhatsApp group on the day of the trek.

  2. What is the difficulty level of this trek?

    • This trek is of medium difficulty with around 6 hours of walk/hike. It does not have any technical patches.

  3. Will I be able to do this trek? I have not trekked before.

    • We encourage you to come and experience the trek with us. Trekking is not about speed and our representatives will be there to encourage you to complete the trek

  4. What is the age limit for this trek?

    • The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian

  5. Can I come alone?

    • Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.

  6. Is it safe for a female solo traveller?

    • It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our events have 60% female participation.

  7. Can I Bring my Car?

    • Yes, you can drive till the base village

  8. Will there be parking?

    • Parking is available at the base village at owners risk

  9. Are washrooms available during the trek?

    • You will not get washrooms during the trek. Washrooms are available at the base village.

  10. Can we smoke or drink alcohol?

    • Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.

  11. Would I get cellular connectivity?

    • You will get cellular connectivity at base village and limited connectivity during the trek.

  12. What type of food will I get?

    • Local home cooked a veg meal

  13. Will I get water during the trek?

    • You won't get water during the trek, you can refill your bottles at the base village.

  14. What if I m unable to complete the trek?

    • Our experienced trek leaders will make sure you complete the treks. Just in case you not able to, you can rest and then join the group while returning.

  15. What if I have a medical emergency?

    • We will carry the first aid kit with us. The trek leaders will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, with the help of local villagers we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.

  16. What kind of clothing do we need to wear?

    • We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. Also, carry a jacket/windcheater for the cold

  17. Do I need special shoes?

    • We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes.

  • Free Cancellation till 7 days before the event (Online Booking convenience fee would be deducted)
  • Cancellation charge of 15% would be deducted from the booking if cancelled 2 days before the event
  • No refund would be granted if cancelled within 2 days of the event
