Learning Mind Mapping for Kids (& Parents!) is a creative thinking workshop, based on Tony Buzan's creative thinking tool- Mind Maps.
What is this workshop about?
Mind Mapping is a breakthrough system of planning and note-taking that cuts homework time in half and makes schoolwork fun.
This workshop is conducted by Amar Salvi, a Tony Buzan Licensed Instructor in Mind Mapping. In this workshop, Amar Salvi takes it one step further by not only training the kids, but also their parent(s) on Mind Maps.
What will the participants learn?
In the workshop, Amar Salvi explains this amazing system using step by step examples from subjects across the curriculum. He shows how easy Mind Mapping is and how it can help kids to
tap in to their natural creative genius
remember things and concentrate better
make clearer and better notes
come up with ideas and unlock their imagination
Mind Mapping is the shortcut to success that puts kids one step ahead of the rest (and sometimes miles ahead!)
This workshop introduces the parent(s) to what the child has learned and what they should do to allow the children to explore the brain-thinking on their own.
Here are some of the benefits of Mind Mapping:
Children can handle information in a much smarter and efficient manner that is a lot of fun
Children love to draw and this is in line with their thinking
Mind Mapping helps develop higher-level thinking and improves their reading comprehension
Mind Mapping is your child's secret weapon to remember better, come up with creative ideas, save time, get better grades, excel at school and most importantly, have more fun while at it
Studies have revealed that children who use mind mapping techniques have a clear advantage over other children, as every task or information they have is visually linked to something that is an outcome of their thinking.
Who can attend?
Suitable for students in the age group of 7 years - 14 years.
Note: This workshop is primarily aimed at training the children. Parent(s) are introduced to the concept towards the second half of the workshop and as such the parent(s) are allowed in the training room only in the second half, where they can see their children working on their mind maps and also see them present their creations to the audience.
Important: Only one parent per child is permitted for this workshop. It is recommended that the parent who takes the child's studies at home, participate in this workshop.
