About: Tandulwadi Fort The fort is said to be about 800 years old and was used as a reconnoiter fort to keep a watch on neighboring forts and the Arabian Sea. In 1454, the Sultan of Ahemadabad captured Mahikavati (Mahim) and one of his Sardar named Mallik Allauddin was made chief of Tandulwadi fort. Later, the fort was captured by Marathas and finally, it was under Portuguese. After the conquest of Vasai fort by Peshwas, this fort was under the Peshwas.
