The Harishchandragad Fort is quite old and dates back to the 6th century. The caves located all over the fort are carved in the eleventh century. The carvings and the various temples in the caves show that the fort is of the medieval period, as the fort is associated with Nath, Shaiva or Shakta.
Harishchandragad Fort is a splendid architectural monument and tourist attraction located in the Ahmednagar district in the Maharashtra state. It stands majestically on the Malshej region of the Western Ghats and among the most challenging treks of the Ghats.

DAY 1 ~
9:30 am - Meet at Kasara station. Get in the jeep for Pachnai & our amazing journey begins!
1:00 pm - Reach Pachnai village, have Lunch and gear up to reach the mountain top.
2:00 pm - Start ascending for Harishchandragad fort via Pachnai route.
4:30 pm - Reach Harishchandragad fort. You can take rest after reaching. There are many stalls on the fort so you can have refreshments as well. Also visit Harishchandreshwar temple, caves & saptatirtha pushkarni. The guide will be providing us with information regarding the temple and its mythology.
5:30 pm - Go to Kokankada to encounter the Heavenly sunset.Take in its surreal beauty of surrounding mountain ranges & take a much-needed break and rest for a while in your tents.
8:30 pm - Have delicious village-style dinner and Call it a day.
DAY 2 ~
8:00 am - Wakeup call will be for breakfast & gear for descending.
9:30 am - Reach citadel & visit Kedareshwar cave.
10:30 am - Take blessings from shiv linga & start descending towards base village.
12:30 pm - Reach Pachnai village and have delicious homemade lunch.
1:30 pm - Leave for Kasara station with beautiful memories of Heavenly Harishchandragad.
