Details

Short Info:

Kolad is small town located on Mumbai - Goa highway which has grown over the years as an adventure hub near Mumbai and Pune

From Mumbai to Kolad, one can drive down 120 KM to enjoy white water rafting in kundalika river. Pune to Kolad distance is 110 KM due to which attracts tourist from both metro cities.

kolad river rafting charges are very nominal. You can call on the given number for kolad river rafting booking.

Itinerary:

Kundalika River Rafting & Lunch - Weekend Package

08:30 AM: Reach White Water Rafting start point

08:45 AM: Once you reach, Meet rafting manager & sign the participation form

09:00 AM: Start rafting session in kundalika river. Enjoy all rapids of kundalika river

11:45 AM: Reach Rafting end point of Kundalika River

12:15 PM: Reach Kundalika adventure camp

01:00 PM: Have lunch at our kolad adventure camp

02:00 PM: Delicious buffet Lunch at the dining area.

Costs:

INR 1500 + 5% GST

Inclusion:

River Rafting Activity, Pedal, Life Jackets, One guide per raft
Lunch (Veg/Non-Veg)

Exclusion:

Any other personal expense
GST 5%
Driver food charges

Additional Costs:

If your own vehicle/driver is not available then you will have to hire an Auto to pick you up from the End Point so that you can reach back to Start Point/Parking.

Cancellation and refund applicable on the tour cost:

If cancellation is done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
If cancellation is done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded.
After that, no refund will be provided.

Things to Carry

Change of Clothes Changing Room Available at Rafting Start Point / Campsite / Farmhouse.
No restriction on clothing, you can wear anything in which you are comfortable being wet for 2 hours (Avoid Denim, they tend to get heavy, ladies may avoid whites).
No Compulsion on Footwear but Shoes or Sandals with good fitting preferred, Ideally No Chappals as they might come off & Float-off during Rafting or Other Activities.
Personal Items like Towels, Soap, etc.
Camera: Do Carry it to Capture Memories, can be kept inside the Raft in Dry Bag with Guide but at own risk, else you will have to leave it in your vehicle.
There is a good chance of your Skin Tanning after the Rafting, so if you wish to avoid that Carry a Sunscreen Lotion or wear Full Sleeves during Rafting.

Please Note: Transportation from Rafting End Point to Start Point is Not Included.
If you have a Driver, he can pick you up at the end Point of Rafting else you will have to hire Autos / Share Jeep to the Start Point where your Car is Parked.

Please Note: White Water River Rafting and Rafting and River Rafting is all one and the same.

Really loved this trek.. while going in , the uphill task is a little daunting.

The woods are real thick at some places and ambiance is quite refreshing.

The climb is difficult at some places as there are not well constructed steps.

However, some parts up the fort are steep and takes a challenging climb.

The paths are streams of either bogs or mossy rocks -- each having their own fun hazards.

But that is what keeps the trek natural and exciting.

There are pretty white crabs in the stream-paths -- very interesting.

The trip to top was awesome.

The strong breeze blowing at the top quickly dries off the sweat from the climb too.

This was the week of onslaught of the monsoon, so it was amazing warm monsoon rain and as we got closer there was also mist and fog.

It was green and wet all over.

The view of the surrounding countryside from the top is simply breathtaking. Well worth the climb up.

The fort is in ruins and makes a beautiful place for pictures..

The greenery just added to the awesomeness. the view from top is gorgeous..

There is nothing much to see atop the fort except some water cisterns and the thumbs up point.

The shape of the hill-top is fascinating. It replicates your mood giving you a thumbs up when you finish a couple of tough climbs,

but also taking the opportunity of showing a ""up yours"" when you're struggling.

From the top you can really appreciate the control this fort would have given the incumbent in seasons like this.

Really loved the time spent on top.

There is nothing much to see at the top of the fort except the surroundings.

However, we were treated to a spectacular view from the top.

It indeed feels great once we have reached the top.

But the moment we reached the top, clouds began moving in and all of a sudden it just started pouring..

The sudden change was indeed welcome.

But due to the rains, the path down had become super slippery..

Coming down was difficult in the bad patches due to steepness of the rocky roads.

My research had dismissed the climb as an ""easy"" one: I can attest that in the monsoon rain and fog it is definitely close to the top rating on difficulty.

But this shouldn't daunt you since you're likely to be surrounded

by singing dancing dare-devil fellow trekkers in this season.

There is a small bird sanctuary just at the base.

We were treated to the sights of peacocks and a few little rabbits.

All is well that ends well. It was worth the while, and the victory of surmounting the difficult is always sweet.

Overall Experience was amazing...Simply wow... cannot get over with the great experience...totally spellbound by the beauty of the place...

never felt so close to nature especially after the concrete jungle that is Mumbai

The initial climb is a tough one, the middle is a ridge -- a reward with great views.

The climb is steep but on the bright side very short ( barely 3 kms).

However I feel that this trek does offer a great break from busy and polluted citylife.

In conclusion, trekking up Karnala is a fun and enriching experience.

Thanks to SSA for this beautiful memorable experience... Team leaders were very polite and helpful...The food was provided just like ghar ka khana... Fellow trekkers were so good and friendly... really enjoyed...Once again Thank you SSA....
