This time we invite you to explore portrait sketching. We all love portraits and dream of sketching some beautiful people from our lives. Who better than artist Javed Mulani to teach you the ropes! Javed is an alumnus of the JJ School of Arts with a Masters in Fine Arts, and specialises in figurative drawing and portraiture. He has won numerous awards for his artworks in the last 20 years and has exhibited his works internationally in both solo and group shows. We are delighted that he is taking time out to teach the basic skills for portrait sketching.
More than just the technique of portraiture the session will help you understand a way of seeing, judging and feeling. Below are the highlights of what you can expect from the workshop:
- Learn about different techniques of drawing
- Understand your materials (Pencils, charcoal, types of paper)
- Basic line practice, understand importance of line qualities, pressure of line and more
- Understand form, mass, shapes, dimensions with shade and light formation
-Understanding importance of perspective in drawing and rendering techniques
-Step by step construction of drawing
-Completion of work and discussion
The fees are inclusive of 6 hours of workshop including a sumptuous lunch and tea breaks. All art material required for the workshop will be provided for by us. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as mid-level artists. Minimum age required is 16 years.
