After breakfast, we leave for Jispa. As soon as we leave Manali, the climb for the 13,051 feet high Rohtang Pass starts. After Rohtang, the road descends into the Chandra valley, passing through Khoksar and on to jispa.
Today we ride from the lush green landscape to the stark moonscape which Ladakh is famous for. A very scenic route passing through small lakes, waterfalls, and streams. Undoubtedly the best stretch on the Manali-Leh highway, this section of the Manali-Leh highway will feel as if you're on a roller coaster ride climbing up and down from one Himalayan pass to another. You ride up and down three high altitude passes, Baralacha-La, Lachlung -La (16,616 feet) and Nakee-La (15,547 feet)
After breakfast, we start our ride towards Hanle. Hanle is one of the restricted areas in Ladakh and only accessible to domestic tourists. Today is going to be very adventurous and you will be witnessing a Galaxy with your Naked eyes! Overnight in a guesthouse. (Hotel is unavailable in this area)
Are you ready to conquer the highest pass? We will start our ride early morning at 5:30 am towards Umlingla (19300 ft) which is newly opened pass in Ladakh. The journey of this pass is going to be very tough in terms of terrain as well as altitude. Oxygen is very less as compared to the city. After reaching Umlingla we have to come back from the same route soon towards Hanle. Overnight in a Guest House. In case we do not get a permit for Umling La, we will go to Tso Moriri lake instead.
After Breakfast, ride towards Pangong via villages Chushul and Maan Merak. Then we have a ride along with a lake. Overnight stay in camp at Pangong
Today we will be taking one of the most uncommon routes in Ladakh. We will ride to Nubra via Shayok village, which was opened recently for the tourists. While riding you will definitely enjoy the scenic view of mountains and waterfalls.
Today, we take the road to the second highest motorable pass in the world Khardung-La at 18,380 feet. In spite of the altitude, today you ride on some of the smoothest roads so far and the landscape also becomes grand. After celebrating at Khardung-La pass, we descend into the dramatically different landscape of the Leh
After breakfast, we leave for Kargil. Enroute visit Mulbek, Giant Living Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru, one of the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and enjoy the view of the Moon Landscape, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame museum. We will reach Kargil by evening. Overnight at Kargil
