Day 1: Reporting day at Leh

  • Altitude 11,400 ft.
  • Keep your woollen cap and gloves handy at Airport
  • Orientation and Briefing of the trek at 12:00 noon (Mandatory)
  • Check in Hotel (10:00 am) (Centrally heated room)
  • Bring a copy of ID proof and 2 photo graphs. Foreigner, a copy of passport and visa
  • Network is available (only post-paid)
  • ATM is available
  • Visit of any very high altitude place or pass is not advisable
  • Consumption of alcohol and smoking is strictly prohibited
  • Spend the day in the room itself to acclimatise

Day 2: Acclimatization Day

  • Rest + Acclimatisation day
  • Can go for half day sightseeing
  • Visit of any very high altitude place or pass is not advisable
  • Consumption of alcohol and smoking is strictly prohibited
  • Stay in Hotel (Centrally heated room)

Day 3: Leh to Tsomo Paldar via Chilling and Tilad do

  • Altitude 11,400 to 10,400 ft.
  • Drive 65 km, 3-4 hrs
  • Trek 3km, 2 hrs
  • Gumboots are mandatory
  • Carry two thermos flask of 1 litre each
  • Stay in tents
  • Drive through Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus

Note: Walking in gumboots will take a while, so be prepared for some slips and falls! It’s advisable to carry a small backpack which will protect your back at the time of falls.

Day 4: Tsomo Paldar to Tibb Cave

  • Altitude 10,400 to 10,800 ft.
  • Trek 15 km / 6-7 hrs)
  • Hot Lunch on the way
  • Make sure you fill your thermos with warm water before you leave
  • Pass through a waterfall which never freeze
  • You will only get sunshine around 9-10 am
  • Stay in tent

Day 5: Tibb Cave to Nerak

  • Altitude 10,800 to 11,100 ft
  • Trek 13 km / 6-7 hrs)
  • Hot Lunch on the way
  • Make sure you fill your thermos with warm water before you leave
  • Nerak is the first village of Zanskar region
  • If we reach on time at Nerak camp, accordingly we can go to visit Nerak village
  • Attraction Frozen waterfall
  • Stay in tent.

Day 6: Nerak – Tibb Cave

  • Altitude 11,100 to 10,800 ft
  • Trek 13 km / 5-6 hrs)
  • Hot Lunch on the way
  • Make sure you fill your thermos with warm water before you leave
  • Stay in tent

Day 7: Tibb Cave to Gyalpo

  • Altitude 10,800ft to 10,500 ft.
  • Trek 12 km / 5-6 hours
  • Hot Lunch on the way
  • Make sure you fill your thermos with warm water before you leave
  • Stay in tent.

Day 8: Gyalpo to Tilad do to Leh

  • Altitude 10,500ft to 10,300ft and drive to 11,400 ft.
  • Trek 06 km. / 3-4 hrs
  • Drive 65 km, 3-4 hrs
  • Hot Lunch on the way
  • Make sure you fill your thermos with warm water before you leave
  • Reach Leh by 06:30 pm
  • De- briefing and certificate distribution just before dinner
  • Stay in Hotel (Centrally heated)

Day 9: Fly to your desired destination

Who can go

Who can go
  • Experience of any high altitude trek at least 1 trek
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45 minutes without a stress.
  • The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
  • Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.


  • Please Note: Local authority (LAHDC, ALTOA) charge fee for Environment and Wildlife for the trek (which totals to 2540 INR per head) will have to be paid by trekkers before starting the trek in Leh, So keep some cash handy.
  • Medical certificate is a requisite document for this trek and without which you will not be allowed on the trek.
  • It’s always good to plan for an additional day to accommodate any unforeseen conditions like bad weather, broken bridges, flight delays, casualties that may arise.
  • Since you will be trekking in an eco-friendly zone, make sure you do not litter the vicinity and carry your leftovers.
  • Flowy and frilly clothing might hinder your movement. It is better to avoid such type of clothing.
  • Do not rely on sports or casual shoes as they might compromise grip on the snowy surface.
  • Trekking during the nights is extremely dangerous and might lead to unwanted circumstances.
  • It is advisable to consult an expert trekker before backpacking as a heavy backpack might slow down your trekking speed.
  • While visiting the monasteries and other religious sites, abide by the instructions and guidelines laid by the authorities.
  • Try not to interrupt or disturb the locals during the trek or other times.
  • Never compromise with the quality of drinking water; ensure that the water is properly boiled and purified.
  • Avoid heavy meals during the trek as it leads to tiredness.
  • Abide by the instructions given by the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking.
  • Always take a note of the weather reports and avoid getting caught in any sort of natural ravages.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-30 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
  • However, no refund will be provided for the same.
