This is an invitation to practice meditations by methods taken from the Vigyan Bhairav Meditation.
The 4,000-year-old ancient compendium of instructions for 112 meditation (awareness) techniques that bring us back into the present moment.
It is as if we are drinking from the primary source. All meditation methods available in the world today have their roots in Vigyan Bhairav Meditation.
Osho gave an in-depth commentary on these 112 Sutras which were originally a dialogue between Shiva and Shakti. Osho's insights on Vigyan Bhairav Meditation are compiled in a book named The Book of Secrets. These techniques, if followed, suddenly turn your mind. It comes to the present. And when the mind comes to the present it stops, it is no more. You cannot be a mind in the present, that is impossible. Osho
In one day, we will be experimenting with 4 VB Sutras, meaning four different techniques of meditation. After experimenting here, you can practice these techniques at home too.
Tools and Techniques:- - Silent meditations - Active meditations - Movements and dance - Group sharing - Partner exercises - Question-answer session
Benefits:- - As we do small activities to open up and prepare the ground to receive deep Sutras, you will feel good in body and emotions. - With VB Sutras, we practice meditation and will have all the benefits it offers >Rejuvenated body >Relaxed mind >Increased awareness >A sense of being centred creates inner stability and integrity and with that comes courage and creativity to go in the right direction in life. >Being content in the moment, rather than ruminating about the past or the future. >Joyfulness, playfulness and gratitude are the other by-products of meditation. >A regular practice will also engender greater self-knowing, self-trust, self-acceptance, respect and love. >Because meditation allows the mind time-out, the meditator has a more efficient and creative mind.
Meditation is a fundamental resource for a life of fulfilment. Its value extends to all aspects of what is to be human.
