'Dekho na main Parvati ko kitna chahta hoon, aur woh bhi mujhe kitna chahti the, lekin samaj ne nahi chaha'
This iconic dialogue takes us back to the golden era where Mr Dilip Kumar was the reigning king. That time made a mark majorly because of its deep and loud portrayal of characters. The usage of dialogues, costumes, makeup, etc, everything used to be more dramatic and only namesake practical. The heavy (not literally) costumes and dialogues were a part of this dramatic era.
Fast forward to a few years and we saw a change. The era of actors like Shahrukh Khan was a little more casual, practical (not much though), but still over the top. Cut to today, we see that the makeup has reduced to almost zero, dialogues make us feel we are watching the real routine situations on screen, and even the costumes are a day to day wear.
