Beas Kund is one of the most beautiful short treks in Himachal Pradesh. On this trek, you will see amazing views of lush green meadows, glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The trail goes via Dhundi and Bakarthach to enter the Beas Kund Glacier. The Beas Kund is the origin of the River Beas. This is an enjoyable and Moderate level trek.
It is recommended for both beginners as well as experienced trekkers. Its an ideal base camp for climbing nearby peaks Shitidhar, friendship, and Ladakhi peak. The Westside of Beas Kund is the magnificent peak of Hanuman Tibba 5990m, which access through the tiny pass of above this lake.
This combination of big snowy summits towering above you, the greenery of the grasslands and the lake draws everyone to this trek. While this trek can be done by beginners, we would advise preparation. The climb from around 8000 ft at the beginning of the trek to over 12,000 ft is no mean feat.
