Developed by Young-Scientist Please note that this is a parent-child workshop
Eligibility: Ages 6 to 9 years
This special workshop is for a parent and child to explore science together.
Can science be fun? YES!
We have been doing innovative and interactive science workshops for children for the past 4 years. Due to popular demand, we are offering a parent-child workshop for the first time. One parent can accompany each child and participate in the session. Our facilitators will provide the materials and instructions for experiments and activities. The science will also be simplified and explained using visual learning tools - images, videos, models, worksheets etc. However, we want the parents to be the mediator and convey the concepts to their children. Our belief is that this process of joint learning will be a good bonding experience.
This fun science workshop will let your children have a GREAT science experience. Why is this extremely important for young children?
Research shows that most children would have formed an opinion (positive or negative) about science by the time they reach the age of 7.
We want to create a positive opinion about science in young children, inspire them to enjoy science, and rekindle their curiosity. Our workshop is specifically designed to achieve this, by introducing science in a fun and interactive manner. This is your chance to be a great parent and provide your child with the opportunities our school system is failing to do. There will be experiments related to basic science topics such as force, surface tension, density, parts of a plant, human organs etc.
Young-Scientist (YS) was founded in 2015 with the aim to make science simple and fun for children. It provides science enrichment programs that emphasize visual learning and employs hands-on activities.
