 Internet of Things has already become a part of our lives. In a few years (maybe 2-3 years), there won't be any jobs without the involvement of IoT. You can apply for any job, be it developer, designer, manager, data analyst, architect or whatever, but the basic knowledge of IoT will give you the preference during an interview. Because in the end, you will work with IoT data directly or indirectly.

Wondering how to start learning IoT?
Here is a great opportunity to learn how to do it.

Makers Tribe is organizing a Two Days workshop on the Internet of Things for Beginners. This course will be taken by the Industry experts who have 7+ years of Full-stack experience and 3+ years of IoT & IIoT in various Industries.

Let's learn IoT in a fun-filled & interesting way. It won't be a typical workshop. You will get individual attention.

Date: August 31 & September 1 (Saturday & Sunday)
Timings: 10 AM - 5 PM

August 31 - Saturday
10 AM - Introduction to the Internet of Things
10.30 AM - Installing & Getting the required components & Software
11 AM - Architecture of IoT
12 AM - Blinking an LED with Arduino / ESP8266 / Particle Photon
1 PM - Lunch
2 PM - Working around with Various Sensors & Motors
- Soil Moisture Sensor for Smart Agriculture
- Temperature / Pressure / Humidity Finder
- RFID access control
- CO2 Gas detection sensor
- Ultrasonic Radar creation
- Controlling Servo with Potentiometer
4 PM - Controlling 230V AC Current using Relay
5 PM - Complete the IoT part locally

September 1 - Sunday
10 AM - Introduction to Raspberry Pi
- Unboxing & Installing the OS
- Setting up the Environment
11 AM - Basics of Python
12 AM - Introduction to MQTT Protocol
1 PM - Lunch
2 PM - Control things anywhere in the world.
4 PM - Introduction to Industry 4.0 (IIoT).
5 PM - Test, Use cases, Summary & Feedback

What is Makers Tribe?
Makers Tribe is the First Makerspace in Chennai to ignite the Makers momentum in India.
What if I don't know the basics?
Still, you can do it as a team to understand better.

Everyone will get an individual kit?
No. 3 members will get one kit to practice. You can team up with your fellow teammate. But, we will try to give individual kits. Participants will have the option to purchase the kits after completion of the workshop( If you like to purchase the components kit, please let us know soon).

Why are only 10 makers allowed?
This is not a conference. It is a group activity. 10 will be very effective and manageable.

Should I bring any components?
A Laptop is a must. All the components will be provided. Your creative hands will do!

Lunch will be provided?
Yes, Lunch will be provided for 2 days.

Yes, We have dormitory facilities for the makers who come from outside Chennai.

Any certification & Awards?
Certification of Participation to all.
Internship opportunity for best performers.
Outstanding participants will be added to the Makers community to work on Industrial Projects.

What are the transportation options for getting to and from the event?
1 km from Thiruvanmiyur railway station on OMR.
Bus - Get off at IGP Bus Stop. Chin up, It is just the Opposite side.
