Presenting 'River Camping - Vandiperiyar'. Set on the banks of river Periyar, wake up to the sound of chirping birds & meandering Periyar river in Kerala. Spot exotic birds of western ghats, take dips in the river & waterfalls, go on a jeep safari or just dip your feet into the river and appreciate nature.
This privately owned, fully equipped campsite provides you with just the right amount of comfort & a generous dose of nature, making stay comfortable and friendly for solo women, families, adventure seekers at all.
Itinerary (2 Days / 1 Night)
Reach Kumily & get refreshed in the restaurant
Picked up by Jeep at 9.30 am
Train walk into the stream and tea plantations
Check into the campsite by 11:30
Take refreshing dips in the river
A short nap or campsite games
Head out for a Nature Walk to spot some of the exotic birds of western Ghats
Return to the campsite for some refreshments
Settle down for an exciting campfire session
Sleep under the stars with river burbles on a tent
Wake up with the sound of birds
Finish breakfast and head out for an action-packed day
Tunnel and catchment area of Idukki arch dam
The hanging bridge connecting a tribal settlement
Old temple submerged on the lake
Short hikes to a waterfall visit
Back to the campsite for lunch and relax
Post an exciting day you will be dropped back in Kumily by evening.
For kids between 6 and 10, the cost would be Rs.1500/kid
For kids below 6, it would be free of cost

1) Drive down to the camp spot on your own. We shall share the location.
2) You can also reach Kumily from Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, etc, by bus.
You can check for the buses to Kumily (Kerala) or Kumily (Tamilnadu) in Red Bus.
and avail our jeep pickup to camp spot & back at Rs.500 (to and fro)
