ParentCircle presents Tales from Here and There! - A storytelling session by Janaki Sabesh (Actor, Storyteller and Author and Founder of Tales Unlimited - Golpo)

Join us to be a part of an exhilarating story telling session and experience stories from here, there and everywhere! Get a chance to experience the lives of many interesting characters under one roof!

About Janaki Sabesh:

Janaki Sabesh is passionate about telling stories writing, performing, living them!

Friends and family call her a drama queen!

Janaki Sabeshs engagement with children began when she produced an audio cassette The Learning Train (1995) that simplified the world of numbers through story and songs.

Through her initiative, Golpo Tales Unlimited (Golpo is the Bengali word for story), she collaborates with publishers like Karadi Tales, Tulika Books, Pratham Books and performs their stories in schools, colleges, B schools, Corporates, Theatre workshops, Parent & teacher workshops, and other professional networks.

She has also performed at The Hindu Lit for life Childrens Fest, Chennai, The Ooty Lit Fest, The Arunachal Literary and Arts Festival, Itanagar, The Bokaro Lit Fest in Kohima & Delhi, The Vizag Junior Lit Fest & Kitaabo, the Childrens Lit Fest in Jodhpur.

Imbibing experiences from her acting career of close to 30 films across Tamil & Telugu, where she has played the quintessential mother to actors like Aishwarya Rai, Vijay, Ajith, Anushka, and many others, she weaves drama into every story she performs.

Janakis story sessions are an interactive mix of narration, music, and movement, where she holds the attention of children and adults in her inimitable style.

She also plays an active role in Chennais live performance community, experimenting with monologues, stand-up comedy and theatre.

Janaki is now a Childrens author having released her first picture book, The Jungle Storytelling Festival, published by Tulika Books.

She believes A story told from the heart can only win more hearts
