Yati Gati is a performance series curated and organized by the Temple of Fine Arts and Atta Galatta. The purpose of the series is to stage the dialogue between the artist and the audience.
About the artist
Indira Kadambi, a woman of substance for whom Bharatanatyam is a personal statement, needs no introduction to the connoisseurs of Bangalore. A disciple of Abhinaya Doyen, Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan, Indira has traveled all over the world for performances and workshops inspiring hundreds of students and teachers.
Indira is the Director of eAmbalam, the World's First Online College of Indian Performing Arts, a state of Art blended e-learning platform, where students are trained holistically through practical, innovative and niche teaching methodology. She is the content creator for Life Art Education where over 20000 children are trained under a niche K12 value-based education program established by her well-known musician husband Vidwan T.V.Ramprasadh.
She has choreographed and performed several unique solo productions such as Vamshi, The divine flute, Hasya, Varsha rithu, Purusha parinaam, etc, Recently she created history in the field of dance by reviving the art of performing a Margam for 4 hours. For her contribution to the field, she has been honored with titles "Vidya Tapaswi from Tapas Foundation Chennai, "Nrithya Kala Sagara from Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and Outstanding senior dancer Award from Natyarangam, Chennai.
