This Dasara, join us on an expedition to Hampi. History, Science, Nature and lots of fun - all in one trip!
We are organizing a 4-day experiential learning camp for kids to explore the magnificent engineering marvel and culture of erstwhile Vijayanagara Empire as history comes alive in its capital Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site. As they climb the boulders of Hampi, kids enjoy the beautiful sunrise and panoramic views of this great city with river Tungabhadra on the horizon, along the banks of which many civilizations have flourished. They gain hands-on experience of electricity generation at a hydroelectric power station on the river, learn about the birth of Tungabhadra and the importance of river ecosystems.
The activities at the camp are aimed to provide holistic learning and fun experience for children to help them gain different perspectives on history, think about sustainability and work towards creating a better environment around them.
Camp leader, Deepti R Bhat is an educationist trained in outdoor environmental education in Sweden and specializes in designing & organizing outdoor based learning programmes for kids in all age groups. Our camp facilitator, Nagaraj Pattar, is a theatre practitioner and educator with vast experience in conducting childrens' workshops.
