History, Trek, Science and Lots of Fun - ALL IN ONE TRIP!
This October we had a wonderful bunch of kids for the Hampi camp and we were thrilled to see them enjoy history, learn about architecture, ancient settlements, rivers, production of hydro-electricity. So many curious minds came together for a great learning experience! We look forward to providing the same in our upcoming camp scheduled for December.
This winter vacation let your child explore the Vijayanagara Kingdom as history comes alive in these monuments.
They will trek the boulders of Hampi and explore their new boundaries, enjoy the beautiful sunrise, and stare at the expanse of the river Tungabhadra river.
At TB Dam they gain hands-on experience of the production of hydro-electricity.
Age group: 8 - 14 year old
Duration: 3 days, and 2 nights

Camp leader, Deepti R Bhat is an educationist trained in outdoor environmental education in Sweden. She is currently researching on the introduction of outdoor pedagogy in government schools in the Western Ghats region. She has been working with kids in all age groups over the past 6 years teaching them the importance of conservation, sustainable living and outdoor education.
Group of monuments at Hampi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the center of Vijayanagara Empire. Here they will explore how Vijayanagara Empire planned, built, and defended the city of Hampi. The objective is to help children realize the importance of conservation of monuments of historical relevance. We will also trek the boulders of Hampi and gain an understanding of the nature in an around the villages of Hampi. The hydro-electric plant at TB Dam will give children a hands-on experience of the production of electricity from a renewable source of energy.
