What is this about?

A workshop which will help you make homemade soap in the traditional Cold Process Soapmaking method using easily available edible oils.
You learn how to create recipes for different skin types and understand the different types of oils/fats and their properties.

Why should you join?

The skin is the largest organ on your body and is super-porous. It absorbs anything that is applied to it.
If you are careful about what goes into your mouth, think even more about what you apply all over your body.
Before you use any store-bought bathing bars and shampoos, read their ingredient list. Understand the adverse effects it may have on you and your environment. Know that they have probably been tested on animals. Think of that is something you want on you and your conscience.
Stay away from harmful chemicals, formulate your own soaps and gift yourself and your family a healthy lifestyle choice.

What to expect?

In this workshop, you learn to make a basic homemade soap using easily available oils in the traditional Cold Process method.
Pure edible oils like, Olive, coconut, palm, sunflower and castor oil are used for their cleansing and moisturizing properties.
Additives like milk, turmeric, neem, Activated charcoal and clays enhance the goodness of the soap.

A demo of the basic cold process method will be provided. You get to customize your own soap bars with your choice of essential oils and herbs/additives or colours.
You take home a batch of 500gms of soap
