Join ICB as we bring to you a one-weekend improvisation workshop on 18-19 of May. This workshop will be divided into 3 hours each - on Saturday and Sunday. This workshop is for those who have never tried out Improv before and even for those who have either done previous workshops or have previous stage experience. The following are the topics that will be covered:
1. Playing the truth - Improvistion on stage works as much as does real life. The more honesty that is brought in will make for a more wholesome Improv performance. In this topic we will learn to attune ourselves for a heightened awareness of non-verbal communication and rely on body language to guide our way.
2. Learning to make the other person look good - This area covers the golden Improv rule of 'Yes And'. This 'Yes And' is the first and biggest stepping stone towards how you can accept another person/ their ideas and realize how amazing it feels to uplift their creativity and make something beautiful together.
3. Storytelling - Implementing the skills and learnings developed from the above two, we will weave together Improvised stories.

ICB's Improv Philosophy
At ICB, our guiding Improv philosophy is meant to create spaces that are safe and encouraging for anyone to express themselves freely and in the capacity they choose.
ICB is a professional improvisational theater company operating from Bangalore. They have been operational since July 2015 and have performed in over 100+ shows across India including the very prestigious Second City Theatre in Chicago, US. They brought to India its first ever Improv festival - the Bengaluru Improv Festival in Nov 2018. They also brought to India its first ever 12-hour Improvathon.
They are also home to India's first and only active all-women Improv ensemble - The Adamant Eves. They conduct their own Improv workshops guided by their in-house Improv trainers and produce their own public shows and jams on a monthly basis. They offer Improv coaching to corporates, educators, children, and other performers as well. Their aim is to bring the beautiful potential of Improv to as many individuals in an increasingly tense world.
