Menstruation is considered the ‘dark moon’ phase of the month – during this time women naturally turn inward, reflect on the cycle that has been and plan ahead. It is the most intuitive time of the cycle and can be experienced as inspirational, enlightening and pain-free. However, most of us have a negative relationship with our menstrual cycle due to symptoms of PMS.
PMS affects more than 90% of menstruating women, with symptoms ranging from cramping and cravings to bloating and mood swings. For some women, PMS is a minor inconvenience. For others, it’s downright debilitating.
Doing yoga practice during your period has actually been shown to be great for PMS. The understanding of why yoga works and how you can supplement your practice off the mat is what would be introduced in this workshop. We would also discuss a whole range of tips, tricks and home remedies to tackle PMS the yogic way
