This is a 10 hours course that will introduce you to the mediums of Watercolors, Acrylics with brush and Acrylics with a palette knife. You may choose any 10 hours in the given schedule of classes. The course structure is as follows:
-Introduction to watercolour: You will learn and practice the basics of watercolour and it's consistency as a medium. You will learn about the colour wheel and how to mix colours to get the desired effect to make your painting look more vibrant. You will also learn about light and shadow and how that translates into a realistic painting.
- Landscape part 1: You will replicate a landscape photograph and get a better grasp of the watercolour medium. Everything that was practiced during the introduction will be applied for this final landscape painting.
- Landscape part 2: You will complete your landscape painting with further intricate details.
-Acrylic Painting (Brush) - There will be an introduction to acrylic paint and understanding how this medium behaves differently from watercolour. You will use the same landscape used for the final watercolour painting to replicate using acrylic paint with a brush.
- Acrylic Painting (Palette Knife) - There will be an introduction to palette knives and understanding how to mix colour and apply it onto a canvas using a palette knife. By the end of the workshop, you will have the same landscape painted in three different techniques (watercolour, acrylic brush and acrylic palette knife).

Ujwala Vishwanath is a cinematographer, sketcher, painter, photographer and sculptor. She has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University US, PG-Diploma in Multi-Media Broadcasting in Journalism from the World Media Academy & ICFJ, and Master of Fine Arts from American Film Institute Los Angeles.
Having 8 years of experience in sketching, painting, cinematography, photography and sculpting, she works with documentary filmmakers, Discovery communications, Meditech and Sudhee networks, being just a few of them. She also works as a freelance cinematographer for films as well as conducts workshops and classes for those wanting to express themselves through art.
