Occupy your kids with this fun, educational and hands-on session where they can take home their creations!
Participants create recycled art. The children can make things like pencil stands, photo frame, wall hanging, a small solar oven, paper bead jewelry out of junk material.
They will be making these crafts by reusing or recycling items that may have been sent to the recycle center, garbage dump or landfill. We will be utilizing a variety of techniques to transform these materials into useful or attractive items.
The point of this workshop is to create treasure out of trash, to re-purpose or up-cycle our garbage.
In doing so, we teach children to be creative with everyday items that are considered waste.
If you have junk material like small cardboard boxes, plastic jars, empty tissue rolls, old CDs, old newspaper, chocolate wrappers, chips wrapper and pistachio shells lying around, feel free to contribute to the event!
