The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was enacted to provide a robust legal framework for the protection of children from offenses of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and pornography, while safeguarding the interest of the child at every stage of the judicial process.
A national database has names of 6,20,000 and according to the POCSO Amendment bill 2019; for Stricter Punishments Including Death Penalty For Child Sex Abuse Passed By Parliament
The Bill adds two more offenses to the definition of aggravated sexual assault. These include (i) assault committed during a natural calamity, and (ii) administering or help in administering any hormone or any chemical substance, to a child for the purpose of attaining early sexual maturity.

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 ("POSH Act") was enacted as comprehensive legislation to provide a safe, secure and enabling environment, free from sexual harassment to every woman.

He founded an organization Compassionate Clowns which is doing a remarkable task of spreading love and laughter in the lives of vulnerable children. Harish wears various hats, he is dedicated towards the development of cause by bringing in like-minded collaborators together. He is also a master trainer and facilitator. He educates children and young adults in the field to resist sexual abuse. Going forward Harish aspires to blend in his clowning elements with the therapeutic essentials required to release the ordeal of childhood sexual abuse faced by survivors and victims. He conducts these training programs by the mode of storytelling.
One of the most significant and prominent accomplishments of his, would be that he holds the World record by Guinness on conducting The largest child safeguarding lesson. Earlier Record was for the gathering of 344 Children by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi. Being the cause development head of Faith Foundation Trust, Bengaluru, he along with his two colleagues as co-trainers, Dr. Vani Khare and Manju Goel, had empowered 1297 children at one go. Having conducted more than 1000 training programs in various schools across India for the awareness of Body Safety, so that children could fight Sexual abuse, shows his dedication, determination and drive to improve the lives of children.
