"Decoupage actually comes from the French word decouper which means to cut out or cut from something else. It's a versatile art form that can be performed on any medium.
One can choose to work on any of the following mediums using different decoupage techniques :
Jewelry box, threaded jar, glass bottle decoupage, wooden tissue box, wooden lamp with bulb, crackle jar, faux leather card sleeve with fabric hoop decoupage, metal kettle, name plaques along with Mixed Media artwork.
One would be learning:
Use of Gesso, acrylic, and chalk paints
How to layer Decoupage napkins onto a medium to achieve a wrinkle-free and seamless look
- Working on the background by using stencils/textures/stamping/distress /crackle effect etc
Usage of different types of Decoupage glues/gels
