Day 1: Classroom training @ Suchitra Film Society
Day 2: Field visit to Valley School & Birdhide in Kanakpura for wildlife & nature photography
By the end of this workshop you would have learnt more about your DSLR, more than basics of photography and some expert advice on photography as a career and which photography field to choose.
10:00 to 13:00 - Basics of Photography, Starting off with Manual Mode, Exposure Triangle, Different Camera modes, How to use Focus points, Framing & Composition rules, Types of Metering - composition and lighting techniques, Types of Lenses, Types of Lenses, Art of Travel Photograph, Some outdoor photography in Suchitra itself
13:00-13:30 - Lunch and general discussion
13:30-14:30 - Concept of wedding photography, Telling a story with your photography, Rule of Thirds, Depth Of Field, Types of Lighting, Camera Raw Format, Tips, Tricks & Hacks)
10:00 - Assemble at Suchitra Film Society and we will leave to Valley School Kanakpura
11:00-13:00 - Nature photography @ Valley School Kanakpura (explore concepts that were learnt on Day 1 and implement them)
13:00-14:00 - Lunch en route to Birdhide
14:00-17:00 - Bird & nature photography @ Birdhide, Kanapura (some more classes on how to shoot birds, kind of settings needed, what kind of kit & lenses, etc.) Birdhide is a man-made setup which allows for wildlife & birds to come there, giving awesome opportunity to shoot them in real scenarios.
Sneha Kar - Founder of Wedding photography brand "Coffeestains") and a well known name in Bangalore for wedding, lifestyle, travel, food and freelance photo-journalism for several magazines and newspapers, Sneha is perfect guru to give a low-down behind what goes in conceptualizing and creating a great wedding photoshoot
Rahul Ranjan - Rahul has close to 15+ yrs of travel photography expertise and has traveled across the globe (3 continents, 9 countries). He regularly conducts photography workshop in and around Bangalore.
Abhiram - Wildlife photography expert with detailed knowledge of Bangalore wildlife and surroundings.
Demonstrate skill in shooting landscapes, nature, portraits, architecture and documentary.
Master the gear needed to take amazing photographs in a variety of scenarios.
Explain what gear and equipment he or she needs to pack for any trip.
Apply key travel photography techniques to document travels like a professional.
Review fundamentals like composition, lighting and exposure.
Describe the digital workflow and post production processes of archiving, importing, editing, curating and outputting your work.

Participants have to get their own DSLR camera. On request, we can arrange for DSLR camera on rent at cost of Rs 1.5k for 2 days
While one may not have of DSLR, basics of photography is applicable for mobile photography as well, and you will get to learn the concept of framing and story telling, including how to market on social media and use of various filters
