Ramanagara, also known as the Silk City for its famous sericulture industry, is home to some of the world's oldest granite outcrops that were immortalized in celluloid through memorable films such as 'Sholay' and 'A Passage to India'. The landscape here is rugged and relatively untouched, with waves of little rocky hillocks and a smattering of scrub forests. A short trek up one of these hillocks will provide unhindered views in all directions that will take your breath away. Visitors may also be treated to sightings of the several endangered and vulnerable species of birds such as long-billed and Egyptian vultures and yellow-throated bulbuls. Our biking trails weave through these beautiful sights, with a mix of on-road and mild off-road riding.
