Micro-Writing. Or, for the Marvel fans out there, The Ant-Man of writing.

The literary art of KISS - 'Keep It Short, Sunshine' - is easy to learn, but hard to master. If you do want to get started, though, this workshop is the perfect place to begin. Designed for those who wish to hone their writing skills in the age of Twitter, this entry-level workshop teaches the essentials of micro-writing. It cuts across genres like poetry, short tales, and flash fiction, among others, and through a series of discussions and solo and group writing activities, helps participants learn to say more with less.

About the Instructor:

Sudeep Pagedar is a Bengaluru-based writer, poet, creative solutions consultant, and workshop facilitator. A recipient of a National Award for Creative Writing from the President of India, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, he has also won the city-level Mumbai Metro Poetry Prize in 2016. In 2017, his spoken-word poem on patriarchy and male privilege went viral, with the video garnering over a million views. Later, the same year, he was on the jury for selecting students' poems for the Tata Literature Live Festival in Mumbai.

As a trainer, Sudeep has conducted many Masterclasses on spoken word poetry, page poetry, micro-fiction, and creative writing across Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, and has been invited to judge literary events at college fests across India (St.Xavier's College, NM College, and Sophia College in Mumbai, BITS Goa, BITS Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, and SJCC, Christ, and NMIT in Bengaluru).

Two of Sudeep's poems are taught at the middle-school level in the United States of America.
