Jogini waterfalls is magnificent and are situated near Vashisht village in Himachal Pradesh. This village, located around 3 km from Manali is famous for its sulphurous hot water springs that are believed to have great healing powers. The cascades of these waterfalls fall from 150 feet and form a small pool at the base that forms as a perfect plunge to spend time in the water.

The trek to this waterfalls begins from Vashisht temple, about 3kms trekking trail. The trek route passes through narrow lane by the side of the temple and it goes through apple orchids, tall pine trees, aligned with sprawling valleys. This hike is of around 1 hour to reach the base of the waterfalls. You will find the top of the waterfalls with a hike for about 15 minutes. This is one of the best short treks in Manali to enjoy local scenic beauty and village life in the Himalayas!

Jogini Falls is situated on the Northern edge of Vashisht Village & mark the village boundary. The waterfall cascades down from a height of around 150 feet through multiple levels. There is a small pool at the base formed by the fall and visitors can take a plunge in the water and spend some time. Also, we will visit the Jogini Mata temple at the base of the waterfall, which is a sacred site to the surrounding villages. After spending time at the Jogini falls, we will take a stroll at Mall Road, also known as the heart of the town, the center point of Manali.

This local sightseeing place has a lot to offer. Constantly buzzing with activity throughout the day, the entire road is lined with multiple restaurants, commercial centers, and emporiums. While you are here, you can take a look at the most sought-after Kashmiri shawls, rugs, wooden furniture and books. It also has smaller shopping zones such as the Hong Kong Market, Thai market, Lama Underground, etc. Also, we will spend time at Old Manali, which is another famous place for several cafes that serve delectable cuisines with a magnificent ambiance. There is a myth that the birds around the lake, helps to keep the lake water crystal clear and has medicinal properties of its own! The lake has a narrow walking track with thick trees on both sides, giving you a feel of walking in a paradise. The trek from Jalori Pass to Sirolsar lake is a 5 km trek and takes about 2 hrs and it starts from the temple atop Jalori pass.

Gokarna beach trek and camping was the first time experience of its kind for me with a trekking organization where people not-so-familiar to each other met and bade adieu to the trek as pals. I had always wanted to go for trips of this sort, but never before PTU could I plan going with such a great bunch of people. Every moment had a story to tell and every story had an emotion attached to it. Right from the fun-filled improvised intro sessions in the bus to the floor smashing moves on our way back, each tick is cherished. The beach hopping, water splashing, volleyball, the amazing sunset and dolphin sighting, one can go on and on. Stories, poems and music over the bonfire took the best out of everyone adding to the connect among ourselves. Camping and star gazing right on the Gokarna beach was just splendid an affair that I can't put in words. I must admit it had been ages I stared at the beauty of the ether, so enchanting and clear. Nonetheless, the second day witnessed an apt photography destination, the Mirjan fort (credits to Pooja for the featured pic) and the refreshing dips in Vibhooti waterfalls, followed by a nice homely lunch.A big thanks the three trek leads who made this experience worth the effort. Pooja has been extremely dynamic and kept the team spirit alive throughout, special mention of her being a poet and stealing the show. Sahil is the sweet jovial person who mingled with all and kept encouraging people to look forward to a satisfying end of the trek. Not to forget Krishna, an experienced leader for Gokarna (thanks for dolphin spotting) who took care not to leave anyone behind in the trek, and managing the itinerary was commendable at his part. All in all, PTU gave an enthralling and happy experience that has made me look forward to more adventures with it. Kudos to the team !!! - by Nikita Mishra for Gokarna Beach Trek & Camping | Plan the Unplanned organized by Plan The Unplanned .
Trekking was atomic bomb for me before but Kodachadri trek has changed my mind and soul and now I'm in love with trekking. This was one of the well organized trip with homely healthy food in the homestay which was right at start of the corner of the forest. Nice and chill buttermilk at the very first stop of the trek n then the nature's beautiful shower - Hindlumane falls - all ached in my mind. Finally I found my inner satisfaction as I reached the peak of Kodachadri - the orange light of sun kissing the Arabian sea as the sun had set, was one of the best view I had ever. The fun part of the trek was the crazy jeep ride, the campfire with weird DOG DOG n straw stories n of course the volleyball. Visiting Nagara Fort later next day was a cheery on top.During this trip, I meet very interesting people - energetic, crazy, friends forever, and few more but two of them who will my favourite always are Medha Bhat and Naveen Kushalappa (our very trek leads). They helped and motivated us a lot in finishing the trek. They had been the awesome organizers throughout the journey. And I must say they are crazy like me too. Their trekking stories are making me more eager to do more trekking. From the unknown people on the very first night in the bus to the known crazy like minded people dancing and enjoying on the same bus, in between, we created memories.Love PlantheUnplanned.Readers if you have read this don't wait now hurry up. If you love adventure just book a trip with PTU and get along. - by Subhajeet for Kodachadri Trek with Plan The Unplanned organized by Plan The Unplanned .
