Experience Hampi - UNESCO World Heritage Center by trekking to famous hills, bouldering, cycling around the city, unfolding the history behind Hampi, cherishing the famous coracle ride and camping.
Hampi, also referred to as the Group of Monuments at Hampi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in east-central Karnataka, India. It is situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in the eastern part of central Karnataka and is 376 kms from Bangalore.
Among the attractions of Hampi are beautiful temples, ruins of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury buildings... the list is practically endless. Virtually every rock in Hampi has a story to say.
Hampi is a special invitation for all the boulderer. You can spend a lifetime doing bouldering and still will leave with many problems yet to be attempted. Hampi is a backpacker's paradise, the same way a pilgrim's delight.
So, what are you waiting for? Stuff your backpack with boho style and fasten your belts for a fantastic time.
Day 0: Start of Safarnama Trip!
Get picked up on Friday night from different spots at a different time and begin your overnight journey.
07:30 PM: Baroda Bank, Koramangala or
08:00 PM: New Shanti Nagar hotel
08:30 PM: (Hard rock café) MG road
Day 1: Go big, Go Bouldering & Hiking!!!
Around 07:00 AM, you will reach the campsite, freshen-up and have breakfast later.
Proceed towards Bouldering session with proper gears under expert guidelines
Afterwards, enjoy coracle ride at Sanapur Lake
Return to campsite for Lunch and ride onto moped to waterfalls for swimming
Later ride to the base of Anjaneya hills and Hike for Sunset
Return back to campsite.
Freshen up and have dinner (veg/non-veg).
Enjoy the bonfire. Chat around and retire for the day.
Day 2: Cultural Walk & Jamming: Virupaksha Temple, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stable, Queen’s bath and much more.
Wake up early, get ready for a new day and a new adventure.
Start your day with breakfast at the campsite, move by 9:00 from the campsite.
Board the bus to visit the historical site of Hampi by covering historical monuments like underground Siva temple, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stable, Ranga temple, Puskarni and Queen’s bath.
In the afternoon, enjoy your self-sponsored lunch at some of the famous places – Mango Tree, Chillout etc.
Return back to the campsite after visiting Virupaksha Temple.
Freshen up and get ready for the popular Jamming session
Later, at night savour on a delicious dinner (veg/non-veg). Make friends for life and retire for the day.
Day 3: It’s time to box your memories and leave for Bangalore
Wake up early and experience 1-hour Yoga session by experts (self-sponsored basis).
Freshen up and fill your empty stomachs and pack your bags to commence your return journey to Bangalore.
Have a self-sponsored lunch route.
Wind up the tour after you get dropped back.
Points to Note:
The trekker is advised to carry adequate water and beverages.
There are loads of popular restaurants which should be explored.
Only cash is accepted and there are no nearby ATMs available in Hampi.
