Saturday, March 16, 6 pm - 8 pm: Guru Puja and Extensive Offering led by Venerable Gyalten Rabten
Guru Puja is a beautiful and profound practice (in Tibetan and English) where we make thanksgiving “tsog” offerings to our most kind spiritual teachers and the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma & Sangha), requesting them to grant us blessings and inspirations. It contains methods for us to: · Generate guru devotion - which is the root of the path, the cause of receiving blessings & realizations in our hearts. · Purify obstacles and negative karma created in this life and all previous lives. · Create merit - the guru is the most powerful object for us to create merits. · Review the "Stages of the Path" - when we recite the prayers of the stages of the path, we leave an imprint in our mind for the entire path to enlightenment which will ripen in the future as actual realizations.
We will have Sutra recitation on Saturday, March 16, 5.00 pm to 5.45 pm
You are welcome to bring fruits, biscuits or flowers as offerings for the puja which will be on a Tsog day as well!
