Pottery, essentially clay-based, is one of mankind's oldest skills dating back to 29,000 BC. Of these, Terracotta or Baked earth is probably one of the earliest examples of functional pottery and figurine work, seen in excavations of ancient civilizations like Mohenjo-Daro in Pakistan.
The art and craft of pottery uniquely use all 4 elements of nature, namely, Earth, fire, wind, and water, to magically transform a lump of clay into a usable, decorative object.
Come and learn the various techniques of pinching, coiling, slab work and throwing on a potters wheel in this comprehensive Introductory Terracotta pottery course.
You will learn to make utilitarian and artistic objects like pen/pencil holders, miniature pots, baskets, small murals, jewellery and bowls and cylindrical shapes on the wheel. Once you learn the techniques of working with clay, there is no limit to the items you can create. The therapeutic effect of the course is an added bonus.
