Nervous about the AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty exam?  You should be!  It's arguably the toughest certification exam AWS offers, as it not only tests AWS-specific knowledge but your practical experience in machine learning and deep learning in general.  It's tough to know what to expect on the exam before going in.

Who this workshop is for?

This 1-day workshop is intended for folks who want to take up their AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty Exam (MLS-C01) but are still a bit unsure because of one or more reasons below:

  • I am an AWS practitioner but am shaky with my stats and AWS algorithms and am unsure of what to focus on.
  • I am good with my stats, but find it difficult to correctly choose an appropriate AWS service.
  • I went through preparatory questions shared by friends and from the internet, but when I took the AWS practice / real exam, the questions were overwhelming, few even took over 5 mins to just read them through.
  • I am not an ML expert yet, maybe not even an intermediate, but have an AWS account and want to understand how best I should plan for my study to take up this certification at a later date.
  • I am a beginner/college student, and am just plain curious, to learn the AWS ML landscape.

What would get covered?

In this workshop, the instructor will:

  • Do a topic-by-topic revision, covering a brief narrative of the AWS Service, Algorithm, Tool or Platform.
  • Indicate the MOST and LEAST quizzed areas, enabling you to focus more on the topics that are frequently quizzed and spend less time on those that are not.
  • Share with you a novel mind-map approach developed in-house that has helped exam aspirants, instructor included, to remember and apply the AWS machine learning concepts, so as to answer the tricky and complex scenario-based exam questions accurately.
  • During the group exercise, we will review sample exam questions on each topic area and explain how to interpret exam questions, apply the concepts being tested by the exam, how to eliminate incorrect responses and overall help you allocate your study time, to concepts/topics that you need to focus more on.

What would NOT get covered?

This one-day workshop will:

  • NOT cover in-depth details of AWS services, algorithms, tools or platform. There are quite a few on-line and off-line sources from where you could get in-depth details, such as Udemy, Edureka, Simplilearn, Acloudguru, Linuxacademy, Pluralsights and so on.  And not to forget!  Basically, we want you to view this workshop as a complement to the above.
  • NOT discuss exam dumps out there. Coz none exist.  And even if they did, understanding the underlying concept is super key, as AWS is known for changing (or at least tweaking) BOTH, the questions, as well as the answers over quick intervals of time and so we strongly urge you not to go down that route.
  • NOT do live exercises using the AWS Console / SageMaker as we simply do not have time to do it and we assume you would already have had some experience with the AWS console. Our focus in this 1-day workshop is to revise through all the important topics and concepts, purely from an exam perspective.  However, should you need a hands-on and / or have queries on the same, the instructor will try to address them off-line later.

What are the pre-requisites?

Whilst enthusiasm to learn AWS is all you need! Some basic knowledge on AWS services and AWS ML, will help you benefit max from this workshop.  At the very minimum, we recommend you to have:

Ideally, you should have good knowledge of SageMaker and AWS's other machine learning services, including Rekognition, Translate, Polly, and Comprehend. You'll need to know how to process big data using Kinesis, S3, Glue, and Athena. And you'll need a strong knowledge of AWS security, including use of KMS and IAM.  But AWS knowledge is not enough to pass this practice exam, or the real thing! You will also need deep knowledge on data science, feature engineering and tuning your machine learning models.

What is the delivery method?

This workshop is delivered through a mix of:

  • Presentations
  • Mind-maps
  • Exercise on how to interpret exam questions

Why learn from us?

Simply because you are going to learn from someone who is:

  • AWS Machine Learning Specialty Certified
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certified
  • Has over 25 years of IT experience with an in-depth understanding of AWS, and
  • You learn from an AWS Consulting Partner
