Have a deep desire to be a published author? Believe there is something you want to tell the world? Want to see your book out there on the stands?
Perhaps you want to use your flair for writing to write a book. But, you may not be sure what to write about. Or maybe, you have settled on an idea for your book but are not sure of the steps involved in taking it to the market.
Did you know that writing a book is not only about writing it?
It involves a series of steps and decisions that involve identifying the right topic for the book, converting the topic into a manuscript, researching the topic, getting a publisher to back the book, juggling the actual work of writing with your other responsibilities, figuring out how to price the book, how to promote it and so on.
Presenting 'THAT FIRST BOOK'. An interactive session which will guide you in converting your book from an idea to a finished product.
In this 3 hour session, I will walk you through the steps involved in the making of a book. I will break misconceptions about this subject and show you ways of beating motivational bottlenecks you may encounter along the way. You will go back with clarity on what it takes to write a book, how to find a market for your book and how to manage the project better. I will draw from my own experience of becoming a published author and from those of other authors.
This workshop will put you in the right frame of mind to write a book, demistify the process of writing, publishing and promoting, and motivate you to give it your best shot.
I am taking only a small batch; so, do register immediately.
1. Even if you don't plan to write a book soon, but want to know the process and the dynamics involved, this session is for you.
2. This is not a creative writing workshop. I may conduct that separately, but this session is about learning the aspects of writing a book, researching it, managing it as a project keeping a deadline in mind, understanding the publishing landscape (including self-publishing), learning how to approach publishers, how to promote your book and other related aspects.
3. My sessions are very interactive and proceed at a pace that is comfortable to all. I will answer your questions to the best of my ability. If I am not able to answer a question then and there, I will find out the answer and get back to you after the session.
4. Come with an open mind to open up about your writing journey and to learn something new and exciting. Let us all have some fun!
