The Introduction to Architecture is designed for motivated high school students with a serious interest in the subject. No prior experience is required. The program introduces students to architectural and interior ideas, principles, and methods of exploring architectural scenarios.
Through a sequence of exercises culminating in a final project, the child will study architectural concepts of space, form, function, environment, and technology. During field trips, they will investigate architecture and interior spaces within the context of Bengaluru. The visit will include heritage or architect-designed buildings.
The child will be attending lectures and integrated workshops exploring architectural principles including composition, graphic, art, software, interiors, space planning, and model making. They will be then applying this knowledge into a real-time project scenario.
The program also incorporates periodic studio reviews by invited experts. Individual instruction and regular progress reviews will prepare them for a final project presentation. In addition, there will be a session on portfolio making that will help them apply and prepare them for their future in Architecture or any other design field. We hope at the end of this course the student will have a better understanding of Architecture and Interior Design.
