To most of the parents, the definition of robotics sounds too complicated and technical. They can barely imagine and see the benefit of letting their children tinker with any kind of robot kits for kids.
Most of us cant really say that we have encountered this branch of science in our daily lives, apart from the several Terminator movies we've seen. We thought robotics is something that only engineers can do.
Although we cannot wrap our heads around robotics and its inner workings, we shouldn't deprive the generations after ours from understanding and experiencing this technology.
Our robotics workshop helps to establish science, technology, engineering, and math concepts, they also work to build on students' team-building skills as they work to complete fun challenges. These collaborative skills are essential for student success, no matter what subject they choose to pursue in the future.
Many other advantages include: Improved creative thinking skills Improved social skills Improved problem-solving skills Improved computer programming skills
How to get started with Robotics?
Well, robotics can be an intimidating field of study. It is very complex at the highest level because of the precision that is required in a perfectly working robot. But like everything, even robotics begins with a basic understanding of electrical, electronics and mechanical concepts. These basic concepts will lay the foundation for the building of complex robots. It is a stepping stone into the fun and exciting world of robotics.
Who can attend this workshop?
Kids from 3rd standard up to standard 10.
What will this workshop include?
1. Introduction to all the electrical and electronic components, their functions and usage. 2. Circuit designing and simulation. 3. The functioning of a LED and related activities 4. Activities using a DC Motor 5. LDR Sensors 6. IR sensors 7. Fire sensor 8. Soil moisture sensor (Yes! you don't have to worry about watering plants in your garden anymore) 9. Piezo Buzzers 10. Speed control of motors
Highlights of the workshop
Free kits will be provided to each of the participants to perform all the activities in the workshop. These kits can be taken home after the workshop.
