Have you ever wondered what your deepest and darkest secrets are? What is your truth within? What do you really feel and believe? What is the seat of your deepest held beliefs and value systems? Do you feel like you do something on an auto pilot mode without any logic to it? Do you feel attracted to some people even when you logically feel you aren’t a good fit but your “feeling” overrides all the logic? Why do you feel the way you do? Why are you the way you are? Why do you behave the way you do? Why do you like something and dislike another? Why do you make the choices you do? Do you often decide to build a new habit and can’t stick through after a short period of time? What’s your life purpose? Why do you attract a certain kind of person in a relationship? What are your patterns? Do you have the desire to know yourself more?
The answers to all your deep unanswered questions (logical and illogical) are in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is also referred to as the collective unconscious. It’s a store house of information that we are not aware of in our daily lives. However, we do get a glimpse of it in some fleeting moments.
In this workshop, we will deep dive and look into understanding what the subconscious mind is, how it works, what it does and how can we tap it to get answers.
1. There will be a PPT to guide us through the session and some exercises. The PPT will be shared after the session. You can bring in writing pads to take notes, if you so please.
2. You will be a part of a group. However, this will be a sacred space where we ensure that none of what you share goes out of the room.
3. The content for this workshop will be triggering in nature. This is because it will shift your deep seated belief systems. This workshop might not answer all your questions. In fact, it might leave you more curious and confused. If being brave, patient and open is not your thing, this is not for you.
4. This workshop will give you an intellectual understanding of the subconscious mind and a slight peak into how you can look into it at your own pace. We might not have enough time to be able to analyse your own personal subconscious or understand how to interpret what the subconscious experience means for you or how you can interpret this information for your personal growth. You can book a personal session with us if you’d like to understand this more.
5. You will be allowed a 10 minute tea cum loo break during the workshop. You can buy yourself tea from the café at the venue.
Who we are?
Commit To Self is a one of a kind spiritual consultancy cum one on one spiritual mentoring service. We are the first spiritual and mental health services platform which says that anxiety and depression are not bad. Depression is the path to spiritual growth, creativity and life purpose.
We believe that spirituality is all about authenticity and vulnerability. Spirituality is about finding our centre and paying attention to our own selves. Spirituality is also about knowing that everyone and everything is connected. We teach this through our workshops which are designed for the inner discovery.
We provide one on one spiritual mentoring service for inner growth. We believe that we get mental health issues and physical health issues when (a) we deviate from our centre or (b) when we are not learning what we need to learn from any particular life situation and instead suppress them with medicines and forced positive thinking. It’s important to know that everything that happens to us has a reason, which we aren’t always aware of.
The solution to these problems lies in knowing who we are and how we function. We need to know the core functioning of mind, body and spirit. We have to know how these three are interconnected into one seamless being that we are. We don’t give you solutions. We empower you to find your own solutions to your own issue. Hence, our take on physical and mental health issues stands different from most primary health care providers. We offer this wisdom through our workshops which are designed for this inner discovery to happen organically.
There are two types of workshops that we do –
Knowledge based – These workshops provide knowledge to the workshop attendees about any particular topic empowering them to use this knowledge for their own growth at their own pace and convenience.
Experience based – These workshops are catered to give the attendees a direct experience of a healing modality.
Through these workshops, we give people knowledge to evolve through depression and other painful mental and physical health issues into individuals who use these difficult times to learn the hardest yet the most life changing lessons of their life.
We also run some mentoring programs which are a combination of therapy and spiritual coaching. These programs not only help you release and let go of old redundant patterns but they also help you in building a version of you that you want.
Anshima Gupta in her truest essence is nothing yet everything. She has a love for learning new things and is a student of and for life. She is a spiritual mentor, an educator, a singer, a poetess and a dancer.
Anshima awakened to her truth at the age of 26. Her “unusual” early awakening is a result of the extreme inner suffering she underwent as a victim of a pattern of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. It is also the result of the untimely death of a close friend through suicide. Further, it’s also because her career and relationships failed miserably even when the right inputs were put in. It was impossible to be able to piece all of her experiences together into a logical scheme of things. At the age of 18, she questioned her existence and the purpose of life. She read text written by enlightened masters and chose awakening over every other thing. She learned healing techniques to relieve herself of her sufferings but eventually also ended up finding her life purpose. She is a gifted healer and knows a lot of healing techniques intuitively without formally learning them through a class/course. Now, she uses her inner wisdom to help awaken others. 50% of what she teaches is knowledge acquired from her spiritual teachers. The rest comes from what she has learnt from her own life journey and inner awareness. She believes that inner wisdom has nothing to do with old age and grey hair. Inner wisdom is available for everyone in the here and now. It just depends on whether we are open to it.
Anshima is also the founder of Akshar India which is a one on one teaching cum mentoring program for underprivileged children. She has a degree in Economics Honours from SRCC, Delhi University and a Masters degree in Fashion Management from NIFT, Hyderabad. She has a Diploma in Clinical Counselling from the India Institute of Counselling, Delhi and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression from EKAA institute, Mumbai. She has also done a 21 week course on women’s spirituality under Rekha Kurup who is the founder of She Stands Tall Project LLP. Commit To Self is borne out of Anshima’s triumph over her suffering by choosing herself over everything and everyone else. Through Commit To Self, she teaches people how and why to choose themselves first.
Anshima’s Growth Journey
Anshima directly took support from a Clinical Psychologist and Counsellor way back in 2007. She felt supported and heard but she did not feel completely healed to be in a position to say that she was happy or doing the best she could as per the potential she had. Her seeking did not stop because she did not find inner peace. She still felt lost and confused and knew that something within her had changed and she did not know how to interpret it or name it. It’s only later in life that she got to know that this was the beginning of her spiritual awakening.
She attended various “satsangs” and spiritual programs which only gave some temporary relief. However, that didn’t stop her from attending these programs. Hence, she continued to find recourse in reading spiritual and philosophical content. Ayn Rand, Swami Vivekanada and ISCKON foundation books were the first few reading material she discovered in her universe. A lot of peace came from each of the books she read. She kept on reading more and more psychological and spiritual texts in the hope that she would find her answers some day.
Her seeking further earned her a diploma in psychological counselling and hypnotherapy and past life regression. These tools gave her healing and showed her the hope to heal herself.
In 2015, she started teaching a group of 25 underprivileged children and felt complete for the first time after the initial crisis set in. She felt different and realised this was her purpose and continued to gain happiness from bringing joy in the life of these children and their families. Further on, she realized that her purpose was also to heal other people by teaching them the techniques she used to heal herself. All these realizations came to her organically without any push. She did not shy away from doing anything new. Her journey is definitely not logical by conventional standards. The beauty of her journey is in the surrender she made towards what the universe showed to her. The beauty of her journey is in embracing the randomness and in learning to adapt to every new moment.
