Lahe Lahe is happy to announce a weekly meet up for senior citizens to explore a creative or community-based art form/ activity every second Thursday at 4 pm
Art, in its myriad of forms, is essential to living a life of well-being – especially for seniors. Even elderly individuals who shy away from creative pursuits find extraordinary joy and meaning when they muster up the pluck to pursue an artistic endeavor.
There will be a different theme every time.
The theme this time is Animal Mandala. Doodling is a great way to channelize your thoughts, emotions and your energy. It will help you to focus on it. Doodling always helps to improve your concentration with the repetitive pattern that you make.
All that is involved here is made from lines, squares, and circles. There will be 30 mins of memory jogger session where we will get back to drawing lines, circles, and squares. With your memory geared up, we will switch to patterns involved in doodling. Then the session will progress by taking the animal stencil, start to doodle on it to bring shape to the animal Mandala.
You will be talking home a complete Mandala, a relaxed and focused mind back to take on your next goal.
When you keep doodling on a daily basis, it will act as a great stress buster. With even 30 mins of time spent on doodling every day, it will serve as an energy blast! You will be able to channelize your thoughts well and be productive for the day!
When doodle becomes a part of life, people can start making their own mandala. The mandala can range from a simple to a complex one. The complexity depends on the focus you put into drawing the patterns.
The Mandala serves as a peek into a person’s thought process. The thoughts also reflect on the design patterns you choose to the whole Mandala coming into being!
