Exciting music, electrifying performances, and unforgettable experiences, the biggest musical battle Forum Rock On is back!

A platform that provides an opportunity for competent artists to showcase their talent and get a chance to win stunning prizes.

The event is classified into two categories:

  • Category 1: Under 18 years
  • Category 2: Above 18 years

The shortlisted participants will get to perform at the prelims on the 8th of February & 9th February 2020. The grand finale will be held on 15th February at Algorythm, Forum Shantiniketan, Whitefield.

ENTRY RULES & GUIDELINES
  • Entry strictly by registration only. 
  • All parts of the registration process must be completed in order for bands to be eligible to compete in the Forum Rock On Battle of the Bands competition
  • A band is defined as any number of people. The minimum number of members in a band must be 2 and a maximum number of members is limited to 8. Details of all the band members have to be filled in during registration.
  • All members must sign that they have read and understood the rules and guidelines and terms and conditions pertaining to the event.
  • Performers registering should be

    • Under 18 years as on 1st Jan 2020 for Category A
    • above 18 years as on 1st Jan 2020 for Category B

  • To enter, the registrants must submit their videos by sharing YouTube/ Dropbox links online. Participants who register on-ground can submit their entries via email. 
  • Registrants will receive a confirmation email or phone call when their registration is completed.

  • Exchange of registration will not be accepted under any circumstances and once registered the registration is not transferable.
  • Loss or damage to the registration form will not be entertained.

GENERAL RULES

GENERAL RULES
  • Only band members listed on the registration form will be admitted on stage.
  • All bands agree to have their name, voice, and/or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without compensation or rights to royalties for such use
  • On the day of the performance, band members must be dressed in clothing free from obscenities. This is a family-oriented event and therefore only activities suitable for families will be permitted.
  • Band name and lyrics of performance songs should not contain any obscenities if possible.
  • Judges can deduct points for any use of obscenities not necessary.
  • The entire performance must be violence-free and suitable for families.
  • If a band incites moshing or any other sort of violence in the crowd, the band will be immediately disqualified and the performance will be stopped.
  • The use of any illegal substances will not be tolerated. If any band member is suspected to be under the influence of an illegal substance, the entire band will be disqualified and the proper authorities will be notified. In addition, any band member under the age of 21 who is suspected of alcohol use will also be grounds for disqualification.
  • All band members are required to be present at least 30 minutes prior to performance time to check in with the coordinator. If all band members are not present and ready to set up for performance 15 minutes before going on stage, the band will be disqualified.
  • All participants are required to be courteous and respectful toward other participating musicians
  • All bands must bring their own equipment such as drums, guitars, amps, etc and the mall shall only provide a good functional sound system:

    • 5-piece Drum Set (kick mic, main kick out mic, snare & others)
    • Drum riser
    • Guitar amplifier 2 (left & right)
    • Base amplifier 1
    • DI (direct input) 4
    • Stage monitors 4
    • Mics 4

  • Band members are responsible for the security of their equipment.
  • Each band will be given the opportunity to play 3 songs.
  • All songs must be original or cover songs or songs by other artists.
  • There will be a strict time limit of 15 minutes for each band on stage. Each band has to plan its songs accordingly and no more than 15 minutes is allowed for all the 3 songs.
  • Each band will be given 15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to break down their equipment.
  • While one band is playing, the next band may start getting ready to set up in the background. However, the other bands must not be disruptive so that the band on stage can be the focus of the judges and the crowd.
  • Bands may not use pre-recorded sound material. All bands must play live.

Prize Categories: One winner & a Runner-up will be selected from each category by the Contest Judges.

Prizes worth 3 lac to be won. 

Please Note:-

*All taxes levied by the government will be deducted from the above-mentioned prize money.

*Additional prizes may be added in the future.

JUDGING SYSTEM:

  • The judging system is designed to keep the contest open to all skill levels and song choices while keeping the event fair and competitive.
  • There are categories on which each band will be judged and scored. Each judge will be given a scoring sheet for the band
  • At the end of each performance, the total number of points a band receives from each judge will be added together with the other judges to reach the band's final score.
  • In the event of a tie, there will be a tie-breaker in which each band in the tie will have an opportunity to play one song of their choice. The judges will be instructed to disregard the previous scores for those bands in question and start a new scoring sheet.

  • Forum Mall reserves the right to refuse admission to any persons whose conduct is disorderly or unbecoming.
  • Forum Mall may add, withdraw or substitute artists and/or vary advertised programs, event times, seating arrangements and audience capacity without prior notice.
  • Forum Mall may use the participant's image or likeness in any live or recorded video display, photograph or picture.
  • Forum Mall may postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop the event due to adverse weather, dangerous situations, or any other causes beyond its reasonable control.
  • The participants agree to submit to any search for any prohibited items including but not limited to weapons, controlled, dangerous and illegal substances and recording devices.
  • The participant voluntarily assumes all risk and danger incidental to the event whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual event, including any death, personal injury, loss, damage or liability.
  • Any complaints regarding the event will be directed to and dealt with by the Forum Mall.
  • Winners will be required to produce the following details and documents: valid name, e-mail address, phone number, PAN Card/ Aadhar Card at the time of receiving the prize for verification.
  • All prices are subject to Indian Tax laws and compliance with the prevailing laws and regulations. Any tax liability arising from the prize won shall be borne by the winner alone.
  • By participating in the Contest, each Participant acknowledges and agrees to the all terms and conditions herein and all related terms and conditions governing this contest.
  • For the above mentioned, the information is correct at the time of printing and subject to change without any form of prior notice.

    • All participants have to submit government ID proof for validating their age.
    • Registrants will receive a confirmation email or phone call when their registration is completed.
    • Exchange of registration will not be accepted under any circumstances and once registered the registration is not transferable.
    • Loss or damage to the registration form will not be entertained.
    • Latecomers cannot be admitted until a suitable break during the performances.
    • Please thoroughly go through all relevant information and FAQs before filling in the registration form.
    • Please ensure you have read through and accepted the Terms & Conditions and Event Rules & Guidelines in the registration form. Where any discrepancy is found in any of the above mentioned mandatory requirements, your registration will not be accepted.

Registration Confirmation:

    • The participant will receive the confirmation email to their registered email ID online and on-ground you will receive a registration acknowledgment form. If you are unable to receive the confirmation, please contact The Rock On representatives of the individual mall.
    • All shortlisted participants/their authorized representatives are required to come to the venue in the respective cities where the event is scheduled to be held and fill out the registration form along with the event terms and conditions.
    • Exchange of registration will not be accepted under any circumstances and once registered the registration is not transferable
    • Participant/Authorized representative must carry with him/her (a) the email confirmation sent by Registration Team (b) photocopy of photo-identity proof (Aadhar card, PAN card or passport) of the representatives and the confirmed participant.
    • The city police department reserves the right to cancel permission for the event at any time. In such a situation, or in case the event date or location is changed due to political rallies, natural disasters, force majeure or any other event outside the control of organizers, the organizers will hold the event at the next available and convenient date.
    • Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant who is found medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the official medical personnel. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and belongings.
    • Organizers' decisions regarding winners' positions are final.
    • Participants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel deputed at the event venues. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on event day this is for your own security.
    • Organizers have the right to stop the performance of any participant at any time during their performance at their discretion.
    • The buzzer will be used to intimate the participants with respect to time and performance. Once the buzzer is sounded, it is mandatory for the participants to stop their performance.
    • The rights of admission is reserved.
    • Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below.

      • Incomplete form submitted
      • T&C not signed
      • More than one registration received from the same applicant.
      • Any other relevant reason deemed by the management.
